Satish is Associate Director at Toxics Link, a leading environmental group working on issues of waste and chemicals. A strategic thinker and a campaigner, Satish was responsible for leading a long-drawn campaign on removal of lead from paints in India and the region. He has contributed significantly to the Electronic Waste campaign leading to adoption of a regulatory framework for the country.  He was a member of the drafting committee for Municipal Waste Rules 2016. He has been actively engaged on changing the Biomedical waste landscape in India and was involved in setting up a comprehensive Biomedical waste management system in the state of Goa.   Satish has represented Civil Society in global negotiation on Mercury “The Minamata Convention” and is a Consultant for UN Environment on hazardous waste management. HE has authored several reports and studies on e-waste and Mercury. Satish is a visiting faculty at the International Centre for Environmental Audit and Sustainable Development India. Prior to joining Toxics Link he was the Project Director, “FICCI- CARE Gujarat Rehabilitation project” post the earthquake of 2001. He has served with the Indian Air Force as commissioned officer for over 20 years.
