Location : Sikanderpur Village, Gurugram

The project is set to build a sustainable decentralized waste management system in Sikanderpur in two years. The primary aim is to implement segregation at source, establishing composting unit for biodegradable waste, empowerment of waste workers and active participation and sensitization of the community members. 

This project aims to support MCG in implementing scientific SWM systems in Gurugram by

• Implementing 3-way source segregation in the waste generators
• Ensuring visual cleanliness
• Resource recovery from waste
• Integrating informal waste workers into formal waste management 
• Community engagement
